A colorful and graffiti-covered wall features a small box with the words 'Things I wanted to say but never did' written on it. The box displays a smiling heart and rainbow design. Surrounding the box are various graffiti texts and drawings, including a message about addiction to love and other personal notes from different people.

Myself Jam...

There's actually a sweet story behind this nickname. During my school days, my dad, in his wisdom (or maybe not so wise, as I'll explain later), decided it would be a good idea for me to board at a nearby hostel. Homesickness was a constant companion during that time, and it still is to some extent!

One day, I met this amazing senior, M Rahim. Everyone called him "MR," and he was the kindest, most cheerful person. We became friends, and one day, I asked him if he could come up with a shorter version of my name. Without hesitation, he suggested "Jam," cleverly creating "Jamshir" from the three letters.

From that moment on, "Jam" stuck. I wrote it everywhere – on my notebooks, on my desk in the classroom (remember those days when we used compasses to etch our names on our desks?). Slowly, it became my identity.

Even when I started a grilled food shop in the UAE, I named it "Jams Cafe Grills and Restaurant." (More on that in future posts!)

This is just a small glimpse into who I am. There's much more to the story, and I'm excited to share it with you in the coming blogs.

Stay tuned!
